Our world has become a place of self-serve, automations and algorithms to help business move quicker and more efficiently. Unfortunately, that comes with a bit less humanity.
At SWK, we pride ourselves in creating unique financing solutions in the life science and healthcare sectors to help companies grow their businesses. One aspect that sets us apart from others is our personal touch. We value the relationships we have created over the years.
I attend a number of conferences a year and look forward to building new relationships at each and every event. It doesn’t always mean looking for new business, sometimes it’s just making a new acquaintance or refreshing an existing one.
Staying in front of potential contacts, keeping them informed of our successes means putting SWK in front of mind. Maybe a client doesn’t need a lending solution now, but they might down the road.
In-person meetings allow participants to observe and interpret body language, facial expressions, and other non-verbal cues that are crucial for effective communications, especially in the world of finance. These cues often help convey emotions and reactions more accurately, leading to a deeper understanding of the discussion and opportunity.
While digital meetings have become a way of doing business, we still prefer to meet in person whenever possible. Face-to-face interactions foster stronger personal connections and relationships. The social aspects of meeting in person, such as casual conversations before or after the meeting, can help build the trust and camaraderie essential in creating and maintaining constructive financial partnerships.
In-person meetings facilitate spontaneous brainstorming and collaboration. The ability to quickly draw on a whiteboard, exchange ideas in real-time, and physically interact with materials or prototypes can enhance creativity and problem-solving.
There was a day when your neighborhood banker would lend your business money on a handshake, and while those days might be long gone, we want that feeling of personal, realistic and caring business transactions to still exist.
SWK is here to create specialty financing solutions to fit your needs and I look forward to helping you in this process.
